GB Synergy Training is committed to providing trainee-centred training in all disciplines. GB Synergy Training is proud to announce the appointment of Stephen Walsh as Managing Director. Stephen Walsh has pioneered and championed the concept of the ‘constructive training environment’. This means that adults are treated as adults with the use of Performance-focused Training Objectives, eradicating negative and wasteful instructor-centred training practices, e.g. time-padding with irrelevant NICE TO KNOW instructor anecdotes, death by powerpoint and teaching to the clock.
All Synergy Centre-approved instructors undergo continued development of their training techniques and re-engineering of all of their training materials. Individual trainees and company training manager’s can therefore rest assured that the training they will receive follows this formula:

Stephen is a former Officer in the Royal Army Education Corps. He is the last of the organisation known as Interaction Trainers who pioneered the concept of Crew Resource Management training in the aviation industry and delivered the first course in the world to KLM in 1978 as a result of the infamous Tenerife accident the previous year. He has worked globally with airlines of all shapes and sizes. In particular, he developed the Common Behavioural Standards© System for the objective and standardised training and evaluation of airline personnel.
The UK Civil Aviation Authority has described Stephen’s training systems as, “unparalleled by any airline operator or training provider, fixed wing or rotary, in the UK.”
